About the program
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) diploma is a two-year program that teaches the essentials of safe, compassionate patient care — hygiene and comfort, vital signs, infection control, first aid and ward routine. Students build these skills in NACON's Skill Lab and Science Lab, then practise them under supervision during clinical attachment at Gulab Devi Hospital, Lahore.
Graduates work as nursing assistants in hospitals, private clinics and home-care settings, supporting registered nurses and doctors in the daily care of patients. The program is offered to female students, and because it accepts both science and arts backgrounds, the CNA/LPN diploma is one of the most accessible starting points in healthcare — and a solid foundation for further study in nursing.
Eligibility criteria
Who can apply
The admission office will verify your documents and confirm your eligibility when you apply.
- For female students only
- F.Sc (Pre-Medical) with minimum 45% marks, or
- Matric (Science) with minimum 45% marks, or
- Matric (Arts) with minimum 50% marks, or
- F.A with minimum 50% marks
- Age between 15 and 35 years

The subjects above are indicative. The final curriculum follows the official syllabus of the Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council, the University of Health Sciences Lahore, or the Nursing Examination Board Punjab, as applicable to the program.
Facilities & clinical training
Learn in the lab. Train in the ward.
Healthcare skills cannot be learned from books alone. Students at NACON practise procedures in a well-equipped Skill Lab and Science Lab before performing them with real patients, study in classrooms with multimedia and internet facility, and draw on a well-furnished library with the latest editions of books.
Clinical attachment with Gulab Devi Hospital, Lahore places students in supervised hospital rotations — so that by graduation, real ward work already feels familiar.
