A two-year diploma that trains skilled midwives for safe deliveries and healthy mothers and newborns — right where families need them.
Overview
The Community Midwife (CMW) diploma is a two-year program that trains women to conduct safe, clean deliveries and to care for mothers and newborns in their own communities. Students learn antenatal care, normal labour and delivery, postnatal and newborn care — and, just as importantly, how to recognize danger signs and refer complicated cases to hospital in time. Skills are built in NACON's Skill Lab and refined through clinical training at Gulab Devi Hospital, Lahore.
Community midwives serve where Pakistan needs them most — in neighbourhoods, towns and villages where a trained birth attendant nearby can save lives. Graduates can practise as licensed community midwives, work with maternal and child health programs, or continue their studies in midwifery and nursing. With entry open to Matric (Arts or Science) students and an age range of 15–40 years, the CMW diploma also welcomes women returning to education.

Clinical attachment with Gulab Devi Hospital, Lahore places students in supervised hospital rotations — so that by graduation, real ward work already feels familiar.
