A two-year diploma that prepares women to care for mothers and children — in homes, communities and Pakistan's primary healthcare system.
Overview
The Lady Health Visitor (LHV) diploma is a two-year program for women who want to work at the front line of maternal and child healthcare in Pakistan. Students study maternal and child health, community health nursing and primary healthcare — first in the classroom and Skill Lab at our Johar Town campus, and then through supervised clinical training at Gulab Devi Hospital, Lahore.
Qualified LHVs are needed across Punjab and the whole country. Graduates typically serve in Basic Health Units (BHUs) and Rural Health Centres (RHCs), in the maternal and child health departments of hospitals, and in community health programs. For many students, the LHV diploma is also a stepping stone to further study in nursing and midwifery.

Students at NACON practise procedures in a well-equipped Skill Lab and Science Lab before performing them with real patients, study in classrooms with multimedia and internet facility, and draw on a well-furnished library with the latest editions of books.
Clinical attachment with Gulab Devi Hospital, Lahore places students in supervised hospital rotations — so that by graduation, real ward work already feels familiar.
